Dear All:
After Palm Sunday, I thought it would be nice to do something nice for my favourite Polish Highland Band.
I decided to send flowers based on some research I had done on what is appropriate in Poland for an Easter "Gift"
I searched on the web and found a company called Euroflorist Polska who does worldwide shipments and ordered from them a rather nice arrangement of 50 Tulips to be sent to the "band". I had set the delivery date to be April first since it was unknown when they would shut down for the Easter weekend. I had notified the director of their coming to make sure there would be someone at the practise facility to recieve them, I had also informed the director that if they didn't wish to keep the flowers over the weekend, they should donate them to the local church [St Stanislaus] so they may use them in their decorations for Easter.
So far, more than a week later, all I have heard from them are "Crickets" No ; "Thanks" or anything.
I consider it a real shame that people can't put aside differences for Christendoms Highest Holy Day. They claim to be Christians, it would be great if they acted like it!!!!!!!!!
Here is an excerpt from an email I had sent the director expressing my dismay.
"I hope all enjoyed the gift from my heart that I sent the "Army" :) A simple Thank You would have been nice' I consider it a real shame that one cannot be nice to others anymore or do something that's "Chust for nice"
I did not send the flowers to you guys to curry favour or platitudes; just to do something nice as a token of appreciation."
Indeed, it is rather disheartening to see this kind of disrespect. However, when Peter had asked Jesus how many times he must for give his brother [Seven Times] Jesus replied , "No, Seven times Seventy times" {Matthew 18:21-22}
So, in the hope of resolution, I have forgiven these folks, again, I believe They are up to number 8 with me not that I am actually keeping "score".
Keep in mind, I am always open to dialog, they are the ones refusing to talk!!!!
